All around us, we see IoT developers who are looking forward to a plug-and-play experience, a solution with hardware and software ready, while they explore possibilities with the Internet of Things. In addition to this, the solution must be ready for mass production and scaling for a large deployment.

The UP Squared Grove IoT Development Kit was a collaboration between AAEON, Canonical, SEEED, Arduino and Intel. It is a high-performance kit that provides a clear path to production. The kit includes a UP Squared board, Grove sensors and an Ubuntu image connecting with Arduino Create, simple set up and configuration with pre-installed Ubuntu OS, expanded I/O to help with rapid prototyping, and a means to incorporate complex and advanced libraries in an intuitive fashion.

Developers are able to purchase this directly from UP shop To experience hassle-free development in IoT Projects and take advantage of product longevity support till 2021 for market deployment, get yours today at a price of only $249!

UP Squared is the new generation embedded board from UP family. It features the latest Intel® Apollo Lake Processors, Pentium N4200, Celeron N3350 and ATOM E3940, with only 4W of Scenario Design Power, and a powerful and flexible Intel® FPGA Altera MAX 10 onboard. With comprehensive I/O , such as 3 x USB 3.0, 2 x USB 2.0, 2 x Gigabit LAN, 1 x HDMI, 1 x DP, eDP, mini PCI-e/mini card SATA, M.2 2230, SATA 3.0, 2 x CSI, and 40-pin GP-bus, UP Squared serves as an ideal IoT platform to connect with sensors and cloud.

There are a wide range of gadgets in the development kit, such as a Groove adapter board, RGB LCD, rotary angle sensor, light sensor, button switch, LED, temperature and humidity sensor. You are able to replace these sensors with sensors of a similar setting, using the same I/O bus.

The development kit includes not only hardware but also an Ubuntu operating system and the IoT development platform- Arduino Create. Arduino Create is an integrated online platform that enables users to write code, access content, configure boards, and share projects. With a pre-configured setting, you can start to test all the sensors in the package and even expand to more than 400 sensors that have been verified by the UPM sensor library.

UP Squared Grove+ IoT development kit is now available at UP shop for only 249$. If you wish to connect to the cloud and expand the functionality, you can add wifi, Bluetooth and 3G modules as additional peripheral. There are a bunch of tutorials available at Intel Developer Zone and UP vertical solution, check it out and start your IoT projects without any delay!
