The first mass production batch is on the way!

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for backing the UP board on Kickstarter from last October! Without having your support and tremendous belief in us, we would never have gotten this far.

As you may have noticed, developing UP has not been without any delays. We’ve been rather optimistic about our timelines, and we are sorry for the delays that inevitably come with this overwhelming excitement.

There were more than 100 people involved in providing suggestions during the beta test. There were a few times when we found ourselves in a position to decide if we should waive the deviation but keep to the schedule; or keep the specification but delay the schedule. We didn’t want to disappoint our backers, so in the end, we scraped PCB and waited for another six weeks for PCB production. On the other hand, we were striving to source all the materials. Due to the different configurations we created with memory and eMMC, it posed challenges with allocation and production.

Finally, we can start to ship the first mass production batch next Friday, and we would like to share our near future delivery plan with you. On 20th of May, there will be 30pcs 2GB RAM/32GB eMMC board and 20pcs 4GB/32GB boards available to be shipped from the Netherlands. On 3rd of June, there will be 800pcs of all configurations ready to be shipped. This means that all Kickstarter orders will be fulfilled by then.

For online shoppers who purchase orders at the UP shop, your order will be fulfilled from mid June. If you order the UP board today, you will receive it by the end of June. From July, the UP shop will have inventory ready to ship whenever we get new orders. Of course, it is always recommended that you give us a heads-up if you have a large order so we may be prepared to fulfill your order timeously.

Once the UP board is shipped, you will receive an automatic tracking no. This number will indicate when you can expect your UP board.

Your patience and understanding is always appreciated!
