Programmable I/O via MCU

The embedded MCU is an ARM M3 based STM32F103C8T6 operating at 72 MHz with the I/O exposed via 40-pin wafer connector.
By default, the MCU comes pre-programmed with the CEC functionality (Consumer Electronics Control) so the users can control by remote their UP Xtreme when connected to the TV via HDMI, like a media center.
Developers can also take advantage of the versatile STM32 MCU, re-defining I/O with various frameworks and tools such as Arduino Create, PlatformIO, STMCube and more running their application on bare-metal or RTOS like Mbed and ZephyrOS.
Find out the pinout and how to access and re-program the peripherals on the MCU on UP Xtreme.

AI proof

Support high-density deep learning accelerators, AI inference at the edge via Intel® Distribution of OpenVINO™ toolkit over CPU, GPU, and VPU.

Optional VPU by adding UP AI Core XM 2280, leveraging samples and various pre-trained models come with the kit to speed up your AI development.

Production-ready computing system

UP Xtreme Edge Compute Enabling Kit is production-ready for multiple vertical markets for robotics, automation, retail, AI and IoT. Worldwide shipping in 7 days.

The kit comes with Intel® Distribution of OpenVINO™ Toolkit pre-loaded and make your AI and computer vision application faster.
