€177,169 pledges from 836 backers brought UP Squared, the most powerful maker board with the latest Intel® technology, formerly known as Apollo Lake, to life. Together with the passion of our professional makers, once again, Team UP made it possible to offer an advanced maker embedded board to the market.

During the 60-day campaign, we introduced the IoT solution package and HMS automation solution package to accelerate makers’ project development. Apart from this, the UP Team had intensive discussions with all backers about the specification of UP Squared. We even launched an on-line polling station to determine what the best graphic output interface should be.

Our backers helped us optimize the most desired specification on the market –a small size single board computer board powered by Intel® Celeron™ Dual Core N3350 up to 2.4GHz , Intel® Pentium™ Quad Core N4200 up to 2.5Ghz or Intel® ATOM™ Quad Core E3940 up to 1.8GHz , up to 8GB of RAM LPDDR4 Dual Channels 64 bit onboard, up to 128 GB onboard eMMC 5.0, more I/O ports including 3 USB 3.0, 2 USB 2.0, 2 Gigabit LAN, 1x HDMI, 1 x DP, eDP, mini PCI-e/mini card SATA, M.2 2230, SATA 3.0, 2 CSI and additional 60 pin board-to-board expansion (EXHAT) with GPIO and many other features. Not forgetting to mention the adoption of Altera MAX 10 FPGA to enable 40-pin GP-bus, giving great flexibility to all professional makers who need to implement specific features and protocols without loading the CPU and easily reconfigure the GPIO pin out. What’s up next? The UP Squared innovator version will be delivered in 2 months! The exclusive forum for UP Squared innovators will be opened at UP Community upon delivery time. 72 innovators are going to work with UP team to verify all features, from software to hardware, and help us optimize the specification of UP Squared.

Thus far, the development is aligned with the project plan. Backers of Celeron/ Pentium SKUs will receive their rewards in April and backers of ATOM SKUs can anticipate delivery in June.
