UP 4000
UP 4000 is the next generation credit card-sized to our UP Boards series. Based on the Intel Atom® processor E3900 series, Intel® Celeron® processor N3350, and Intel® Pentium® processor N4200 platform (formerly Apollo Lake), UP 4000 offers a more efficient and versatile platform for automation, robotics, and retail services. It offers up to 30% faster CPU and 2x 3D graphics performance compared to UP Board to bring more industrial and full-featured computing to Edge computing.
With 12V standard industrial power input, increased memory options, and a wide range of IO options such as multiple video output ports, audio line in/out, faster USB ports, and other rich I/Os, UP 4000 offers high performance with lower power consumption in a form factor that can fit anywhere.
Expand your UP 4000 further with the 40 GPIO having the same connector and pin definition of Raspberry PI2, giving developers the freedom to build up their shield.
With TPM 2.0 on board, UP 4000 has added hardware-based, security-related functions inbuilt, along with Intel security features needed for professional IoT applications such as Intel AES New Instructions and Intel Identity Protection Technology.
UP 4000 offers an additional carrier board* with M.2 slot to expand more feature options including AI, WiFi, Bluetooth, 4G/LTE, and 5G. Check out more features!
Key Strengths
Powerful
UP 4000 Series is powered by Intel Quad-Core Atom® x7-E3950, which combines high performance and low power consumption. It’s a 64-bit quad-core SoC that can clock up to 2 GHz with only 12W TDP
The UP 4000 Series also comes with options for ntel® Pentium® (up to 2.5Ghz) and Intel® Celeron® N3350 (up to 2.4GHz) with only 6W of TDP.
It also supports dual-channel memory, with up to 2400 MT/s.
High-End Graphics
The built-in Intel® Gen. 9 HD GPU with 12/18 Execution Units, supporting 4K Codec Decode and Encode for MVC, HEVC, H.264, and VP8.
Thanks to the Vector Units Image Processing Unit and Precision Timing Management to synchronize CPU with I/O, and improved determinism (cache QoS, Intel Virtualization Technology), all the graphic processing is effortless to UP Squared.
Industrial & Secure
UP 4000 has upgraded the power input to 12V DC-in for industrial applications.
Hardware TPM v2.0 onboard.
Expandable
40-pin HAT provides the freedom for developers to build up their modules.
Additional carrier board* with M.2 slot for AI, WiFi, Bluetooth, 4G/LTE, and 5G expansion.
New Features
UP 4000 has added a 6-pin wafer for audio mic-in/ line out to provide a higher quality of a sound application. It also supports an additional DP port via the USB Type-C for multiple-display applications.
