Pre-Order for UP Xtreme i11 Boards Starts Now
(Eindhoven, The Netherlands – 11/08/2021) UP Xtreme i11 features the latest 11th Generation Intel® Core™ processors and 5G support to bring even more power and flexibility to AI Edge applications.
UP! Bridge the Gap, a brand belonging to a leading manufacturer of AI Edge hardware solutions, AAEON Technology Europe, announces that the UP Xtreme i11 board is now available for pre-order in the UP Shop and shipping will start from September 2021.
The UP Xtreme i11 is powered by 11th Generation Intel® Core™ processors with Iris® Xe graphics1. It is the latest generation in edge computing solutions designed to power intelligent applications across a range of industries including retail, health, transportation, robotics, and industrial automation.
Powered by the latest 11th Generation Intel® Core™ processors, the UP Xtreme i11 board is designed to bring high performance computing to the edge. This latest generation of Intel® Core™ processors brings speeds up to 4.4 GHz with a TDP of only 28 Watts and cTDP of 15 Watts. The processors also unlock a range of Intel tools designed to optimize performance and security, including vPRO2, Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN), and Time Coordinated Computing (TCC) enabled LAN ports for real-time networking support.
The integration of Iris® Xe graphics into the 11th Generation Intel® Core™ processors brings the most powerful version of Intel’s integrated graphics to date. With up to 96 EUs, Intel® Iris® Xe processors enable workload consolidation in applications like computer numerical control (CNC) machines, HMI devices, medical imaging and diagnostics, and other applications requiring high resolution HDR output with AI capabilities.

The UP Xtreme i11 is an innovative package featuring 5G support to deliver the ultimate modern edge solution. With 5G and wireless capabilities, the UP Xtreme i11 enables developers to connect large numbers of IoT devices, and seamlessly share data between edge and cloud. 5G wireless communication allows developers access to speeds up to 20 Gbps with reliable, ultra-low latency data transmission to provide a solid foundation for AI applications to evolve.
The UP Xtreme i11 combines powerful processing with a range of features designed to unlock the full potential of AI Edge computing. The board features up to 64GB of memory with in-band ECC support to maximize processing speeds. Flexible I/O features include 1 Gbps and 2.5 Gbps LAN ports, three USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10 Gbps) ports, one USB 2.0 port, and one USB 4.0 Type C ports, and multiple display outputs including HDMI 2.0, DP and DP 1.4 (via USB Type C), and eDP. The board also features two RS-232/422/485 ports and audio line in/out.
Expandability is one of the major advantages of the UP Xtreme i11. The UP Xtreme i11 features an M.2 2280 M key with NVMe support for high-speed storage and memory, M.2 2230 E key for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, M.2 3052 B key for LTE/4G/5G, and a PCIe[x4] slot for increased bandwidth. A 40-pin I/O expansion, powered by Intel® Altera MAX 5, provides compatibility with all the expansions.
The UP Xtreme i11 is built AI-ready. The board is compatible with VPU cards, including the UP AI Core XM2280 with Intel® Movidius™ Myriad™ X VPU. As with all UP products, the UP Xtreme i11 kit is compatible with the Intel® Distribution of OpenVINO™ toolkit, as well as with Intel® OneAPI, enabling access to optimization and training tools designed to accelerate development and shorten time-to-market.
The UP Xtreme i11 Board is available for pre-order on the UP Shop, and will be shipping in September 2021. The UP Xtreme i11 Edge Compute Enabling Kit, a compact system solution based on the UP Xtreme i11, will also be available later this year.

The UP Xtreme i11 is also listed on the Intel® DevCloud for the Edge, which allows users to virtually prototype and experiment with AI workloads for computer vision on the latest Intel edge Inferencing hardware. Without the hardware setup required as the code executes directly within the web browser, users can take advantage of Intel® DevCloud for the Edge to test its model performance using the Intel® Distribution of OpenVINO™ Toolkit and combinations of CPUs, GPUs, VPUs, and FPGAs.
